Event description

Description

If you’re a clinician in the healthcare sector, are working with (or have worked with) clients who have evidenced a Personality Disorder (or PD), and are looking to find ways-and-means to improve your capabilities and better support their recovery progression; this workshop is for you.

This workshop has been developed with the premise of moving away from teaching specific psychotherapeutic modalities, and towards fundamental best-practices in working with PD’s; namely:

Defining the Goals / Boundaries / Limitations.

Maintaining Focus and Utilizing Redirection.

Emotional Validation / Tolerance / Regulation.

Utilizing the ‘Here-and-Now’ Existential Dyad.

This workshop also teaches these fundamental best-practices via interactive ‘fishbowl’ exercizes; with the aims of maximizing your learning via experiential activity, as well as providing the freedom to learn and/or practice in a contained environment.

In addition; those attending will be provided with an accompanying resource booklet (loaded with ‘hints-n-tips’ in working with each PD typology), access to electronic resources, and Lunch.

Developed and Facilitated by:

Graeme Lamont - MPsych (Clinical)

Clinical Psychologist / Director
