Community Awareness and Religious Education (CARE) aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to work with refugees from Muslim communities. This half day workshop will help enhance your understanding of how a person’s religion may inform their values, behaviour and beliefs.

Content to be covered:

  • Complexity of the refugee experience
  • Vicarious trauma, boundaries and self-care
  • Working specifically with young refugees from Muslim communities
  • Accidental counselling: managing community pressures
