Event description

Description

Infidelity appears to be a more common practice than in the past, arguably contributing the highest rate of marital/relational breakdown than seen in previous generations. It is important to note that prevalence does not diminish the experience nor the damage caused by infidelity. As such, it's is more than likely that a professional will encounter this in their career and will need appropriate skills and training.

To establish a grounded perspective for the professional, infidelity is discussed from various theoretical and therapeutic perspectives. This workshop operates from the premise that infidelity is damaging at both the individual and relationship level. To address this, five key elements (details, anger, commitment, trust and rebuilding) are discussed with respect to practical therapeutic techniques to heal the relationship where appropriate.

Lunch is catered for this workshop.
