This Course is 4 x 2 hour sessions for women (only) whom have completed the our intermediate 1 mountain bike course and are looking to take their skills further. The Course will be held at Daisy Hill Forest and Cornubia (weeks 1-3) and finish with a practice lap and review of the Bayview Blast Course on 21/5 (the week before the Blast event which is 28/5).
What skills does the course cover ?
The course builds on the skills gained through our Intermediate 1 sessions and selects harder trails to asses and break down including Navarna, Wirey Panic (Stone Henge), the full Glider series, the best of the Cornubia trails and a full lap of the 25km Bayview Blast loop in the final session. All sessions are on a real trail enviorment with an aim to continue to progress the skill and confidence of the participants each session, testing whilst teaching how to handle the more difficult aspects of the trail set chosen. Specific skills include (but are not limited to), two wheel log drops, introduction to jumping, uphill log over, off camber hairpin, rock waterfall. All participants must have completed our Intermediate 1 course as a prerequesite to be able to attend the Intermediate 2 sessions. As this course is in the lead up the the BayView blast event we will ride and asses the course looking at how to ride any technical sections in the final week of the course.
