The harbour is the centrepiece of the largest city in Australia, and the home of world famous icons including the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

About this Event

Come and join us for a wonderful women's guided kayaking trip on Sydney Harbour. 

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

You will be delighted by the scenery while getting up close and personal with these icons on our guided tour of the harbour.

Our welcoming and professional local female guide will show you how to safely manoeuvre your kayak, and then you will set out on your two hour kayaking adventure. There will be plenty of opportunities to get wet and wild while we take you past the famous Royal Botanic Gardens and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.

With plenty of breaks, this trip is all about spending a weekend doing something outdoors and not too difficult!

DETAILS:

  • Date: Saturday 6th February 2021
  • Meeting time: 8.00am for a 8.15am departure
  • Meeting location: 6 Lincoln Crescent Woolloomoolloo - then walk through the chain gate straight for about 150 metres to the water
  • Finish time: 11.00am
  • Grade: Easy and fun
  • Price: $140pp includes booking fee and GST

INCLUDED:

  • Tuition given to level of tour
  • Professional guidance from your female local leader
  • All kayaking equipment provided including PFDs
  • Gourmet morning tea in the park post paddle (optional walk around the park)

MEETING:

The address is 6 Lincoln Crescent Woolloomoolloo - then walk through the chain gate straight for about 150 m to the water. You will see a wooden footbridge large grassy area right on the water - This is the departure point. Do not go back up the stairs.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • A wind jacket
  • Hat and sunglasses (most important)
  • Shoes that can get wet
  • Drink bottle. We will supply additional water if needed
  • Towel
  • Swimmers
  • Waterproof camera or Iphone in a dry bag 
  • Personal medication

FAQ'S:

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. You must be over the age of 18 years to attend this trip. The average age of women in the WWA community is 45 years.

What do I need to wear in the kayak?

Tights or shorts are a good idea and an exercise top/long sleeve to protect yourself from the sun.

Do I need to be fit for this trip?

A minimal level of fitness is required. If you can walk around the block at home, you are more than capable of attending. Don't let your thought of "I'm not good enough" hold you back! We support and encourage all women. You can do it!

What if it's raining?

Women Want Adventure trips still go ahead in all types of weather unless electrical storms. 

What is the cancellation policy?

• A 75% refund (with the exception of the booking fee) will be made if you cancel any part of the reservation 31 days or more prior to the first day of the reservation.

• A 50% refund (with the exception of the booking fee - $12) will be made if you cancel any part of the reservation 15 to 30 days prior to the first day of the reservation.

• No refund will be made if you cancel any part of the reservation less than 10 days prior to the first day of the departure or any time after.

That is:

1. 0 to 10 days: No refund

2. 10 to 30 days: 50% refund (less booking fee - $12)

3. 31 or more days: 75% refund (less booking fee - $12)
