Women's Circle - Self-Compassion being Mindfully Me

About this Event
What is a women’s circle?
For centuries women have gathered to connect and share stories and personal experiences. A women’s circle is a place where our individual and unique voices are welcome, along with our messiness, our imperfections, we embrace the human experience.
We support each other, without words or advice, but by simply, and powerfully, holding space for one another. In doing this the invisible walls of separation evaporate and we feel into the sense that we are not alone and that we are all amazing imperfect women on this crazy path we call life.
In more recent times, we have unfortunately lost this social connection and instead are surrounded by marketing and social media messages of how we should be, leaving so many feeling disconnected not only from society, but from ourselves also.
Women’s Circles are a space where we can lovingly hold space for the exciting moments, just as we hold space for each other in our insecure moments. In this gentle space, held in love, all that is within your heart is welcome and honoured.
In a women’s circle every woman is 100% equal. There is no judgement. There is no advice. It is a space for acceptance of self and others, an opportunity to look within and connect.
What to expect:
- Arrive at Body N Soul Yoga Studio, 13 Murray St just a touch early and wait in the foyer until 7pm
- At 7pm everyone will be welcomed to the space to set up their place in the circle
- Candice will welcome everyone, introduce herself and take you though a short opening ceremony to ground in and connect to the space and circle.
- We will then introduce ourselves (don’t be nervous)
- Candice will share some words around the theme of the circle.
- We then do some creative activities that help us look within and connect to ourselves.
- The group chats at a deeper level and everyone is welcome to speak and share. We do not offer advice, we simple share in a safe non-judgemental space. (If you don’t want to speak that is absolutely fine and respected).
- Candice will then guide you in a full meditation.
- We do one last check in with the group and then Candice will take you though a short closing ceremony.
- You will leave feeling nourished, seen, heard and renewed
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, we sit on our cushions on the ground. Spaces are limited to 15.
What to bring:
- Yoga mat and cushion to sit on (also a blanket/throw if you feel cool when you meditate)
- Journal and pen
- Water
- An open mind and an open heart

Candice is a Meditation Teacher and Coach with a passion for supporting women around self-compassion and self-discovery. She founded The Kindness Couch and offers a range of services including online programs, women’s circles (in person and online), and 1:1 coaching sessions.
