About this Event

*** Due to Covid-19, this event will take the form of a webinar panel ***

Off the back of 2020 International Women’s Day we want to give a platform to our wonderful women of marketing. Each year we take bigger steps towards a more equal world, we see more women stepping into leadership roles & working in traditionally male-centric industries. However, many struggles still persist, so we asked some of Brisbane’s marketing Boss Lady’s to join us in a conversation about how they gotten to where they are today, how they owned their voice & how to deal with ethical dilemmas in the workplace.

We think it's more important now than ever, to spread some positivity and celebrate some amazing women. So come along, grab a glass of wine, your favourite snack & you might even score yourself a little digital goodie bag ✨🛍️

PANELLISTS:

Angela Chen is the APAC Marketing Manager at Topdeck. With a strong distaste for stale advertising, Angela spends her days making marketing magic, ensuring the Topdeck brand kicks ass across all channels. Earlier this year she led the APAC delivery of their new brand positioning ‘Feel Real’ & first international media campaign, ‘Time to Get Outta Here’. Marketing aside, Angela spends her nights internet sleuthing (Don’t F*ck With Cats anyone!?) & binge watching the Kardashians. Okurrr. In between seasons you’ll find her globetrotting; ringing in her 26th country this April from the back of a Sri Lankan Tuktuk.

Danielle Lewis is the Co-Founder & CEO of Scrunch a global, multi-channel Influencer Platform and agency. Danielle and her team have been proven to be game-changers in the Influencer Marketing world, taking on massive advertising campaigns, collaborating with the likes of Amazon, Deliveroo, NewsCorp, Publicis Mojo, Under Armour, Swarovski, Youfoodz and more. Ten years ago she started a local Brisbane-based blog while pursuing a career in enterprise sales for Australia's largest telecommunications company. It was through this blog that the world of digital Influencers and their challenges would interest her so much that she threw-in a rising career to pursue the world of technology startups, culminating with the recognition of being awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019 (QLD, Emerging Female Category). Outside of business, Danielle's heart belongs to travel, yoga, champagne and her cats Sanchez + Arancini 🐈

Phoebe Parsons is a journalist, publicist, podcaster and radio host with over 10 years of experience in creative media and entertainment. With a Bachelor of Broadcast Journalism under her belt, Phoebe has worked for a number of leading brands including the likes of Lorna Jane, Goodlife Health Clubs and NOVA entertainment across print, broadcast and digital platforms. Her passion for content creation lead her to the launch of her chart topping podcast 'Confessions of a Train Wreck', which is now in it's 11th season. Her knack for branding and marketing helped the podcast crack #1 on iTunes and has since expanded into a multi channel product after debuting a live podcast show at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival!
