SERPENTINE-JARRAHDALE FOOD AND FARM ALLIANCE INVITES ALL WOMEN WHO ARE CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN FOOD PRODUCTION, OR WISH TO BECOME INVOLVED IN FOOD PRODUCTION, TO A FREE TWO PART WORKSHOP
The peel region is abundant in rich soil , possesses plenty of beautiful rural land ,has an ideal climate for producing food, is close to a large population and has potential to become one of perths great food bowls.
The First workshop will have women guest speakers from the Peel Region, discussing their business and experiences , Merri Harris, President of SJ Food and Farm Alliance will speak on the importance of increasing food production, how the Alliance can help producers get their product to market and food security in the Peel region. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Second workshop will involve business start up information, understanding regulations, discovering available assistance in the region, the importance of social media and networking with your peers,within your region, including food producers and distributors, the fafa. The aim is to provide all with the tools to establish, increase and diversify income and production. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
