Event description

Description

Women & gender variant folk are welcome to join this overnight bikepacking trip from Waterfall Station to Uloola Falls Campground in the Royal National Park.

This is an introductory overnight bikepacking ride, so no-one will be dropped. This is all about creating a supportive environment so we can get more trans, gender-variant, and women off-road.

The ride is quote short and mostly on good condition firetrail, there are a few smallish ups and downs and sandly rocky sections. It would be most enjoyable on a bike with 30mm + tires. There is a section at the end that requires carrying and or lifting bikes over and down some large rocks, really only 100m long and this can be tackled co-operatively.

There are basic facilities at Uloola Falls, Water is not available at this campground so you’ll need to bring your own supply for drinking and cooking. There is a drop toilet. There are no shops or food on the route so you will need to pack all your own. You will need to bring your own tent or shelter, sleeping bag, matt and other camping supplies.

Sat 16 Mar - Sun 17 Mar
Difficulty: Easy/Medium
Distance: 6.5km each way
Terrain: 100% fire trail
