Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA)

The ACER Test consists of three components: Literacy, Numeracy and Writing, and is used to assess your personal literacy and numeracy skills. There is also a separate Digital Course Readiness Assessment you will be required to complete within the allotted ACER exam time.

You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement time. NO late arrivals will be admitted once the test has started.

You will need to bring:-

- Photo Identification

Wodonga TAFE will supply pens & paper. No calculator is required.

Bottled water is permitted however no food or drink is allowed into the testing room.

Assessment centre facilities and procedures

The assessment will be administered under secure conditions which will be strictly enforced at all times.

You may use the bathroom during the test time, but this will not be permitted in the last ten minutes of the test session. No additional time will be granted for bathroom breaks.

Some test centres can be difficult to heat or cool. To avoid being too cold or too hot, it is recommended to wear layers, which will allow you to adjust to your own comfort level.

This assessment is undertaken in a supervised environment. No third party or children are to be present during this assessment unless Support Services at Wodonga TAFE have approved a support person.

If you wish to query a particular assessment question on the day of the test you should alert the supervisor of your concern. Queries will be reviewed by CSPA.

Any queries and concerns relating to the testing venue or physical discomfort suffered should be reported immediately to the assessment supervisor on the test day. Please also contact CSPA by email as soon as practicable after the test day, so the issue can be addressed without delay, and within the test window that you registered for.

Privacy and your assessment results

Please note, when you register to sit the assessment, you agree to CSPA providing your individual results to your higher education provider, tertiary admissions centres, relevant teacher, regulatory authorities and, in a de-identified form, to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training (the department). CSPA will not disclose your individual test results to any other third party, unless as otherwise authorised or required by law.
