Witches Leap and Jhana Allan Live at the Studio
Event Information
Description
Trad Folk-noir trio Witches Leap take the rich tones of uilleann pipes, wooden Irish flute and bouzouki, and blend the dark modal sounds of old Ireland with original tunes and folk-punk inspired songs from the hanging swamps of County Katoomba.
Jhana Allan is a singer/violin/mandolin player who explores themes of darkness and light, loss and acceptance. Having a wide range of experience playing in bands such as The Woohoo Revue and The Willie Wagtails, her original work is soulful folk with a country influence. Jhana draws on her roots of growing up in the big sky landscape of Northern NSW to create a genuine, honest and raw sound.
Pre-sales window closes at midday on Oct 6th.
