Windale - FREE Skateboard & Scooter Helmet Safety Workshop
Overview
Come along to Windale Skatepark and join the Totem Skateboarding team to learn about helmet safety with a FREE 3-hour workshop thanks to Transport for NSW.
All equipment is supplied, with fresh fruit and water provided for participants.
What’s Included
- Free First Nations print Helmet
- Helmet fitting and safety education
- Learn to Skate session with experienced coaches
- Fresh fruit and water provided
- All skateboards, Scooters, helmets, and gear are supplied
This program is for participants aged 6 years and older.
This program will increase your knowledge and understanding of:
- Visibility whilst riding
- Relevant road rules
- Safe places to ride
- Skateboard/Scooter maintenance
- The need to wear correctly fitted helmets
- The consequences of not wearing a helmet

Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via Edan at the NCIE.
🌧️ WEATHER
This is an outdoor event. Postponement or cancellation may occur due to weather conditions, anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before the workshop.
We cannot skate in the rain or on wet ground.
🛹 EQUIPMENT
Professional-grade skateboards, helmets, and safety pads (optional) are supplied for all participants.
You’re also welcome to bring your own gear.
