Event description

Description

Creative polymath William Morris (1834–1896) founded the Kelmscott Press in the latter years of his life to publish limited-edition illustrated books with a ‘definite claim to beauty’. His designs are influenced by medieval manuscripts and the Arts and Crafts movement, of which he was a key figure.

Join us for a presentation of rare books from the Library’s William Morris/Kelmscott Press collection. The presentation will be followed by talks from contemporary small presses about designing and publishing artisan books today.

Presented in association with the Australian Book Designers Association.
