Nigel McBride, CEO Business SA

Nigel is CEO of Business SA, South Australia’s peak Chamber of Commerce &    Industry and the State’s leading employer group.

He is a board member of Return to Work SA and the National Business Action  Fund as well as a long serving State Councillor for the Committee for Economic  Development (CEDA). 

Nigel was the immediate past Chief Executive and Managing Partner of Minter  Ellison, one of South Australia’s leading professional services firms, for 12 years.

Nigel is also a past Chairman of 'Advantage Adelaide' (formerly ‘SA Great’, now ‘Brand South Australia’) and 
was a board member for 8 years.

He has operated at top levels of business and government and provides input to CEOs and Boards on key strategic issues. He is a sought-after speaker on business strategy and leadership, economic trends and risk management. 

Nigel is a graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and is part of AICD’s faculty – he currently facilitates the ‘Strategy & Risk’ foundation course.

Earlier in his career he worked in the finance, industrial relations and health sectors.
