RMIT University's Sir Lawrence Wackett Centre (SLWC) is delighted to invite you to hear RMIT's senior researchers from the College of SEH.
The webinar will explore the funding streams available for academics, the benefits of working with Defence, opportunities available and the capabilities sort after by Defence, and how the Sir Lawrence Wackett Centre supports research and academic staff.
Meet your Speakers:
Professor Michelle Gee is Director of the SLWC and Professor of Aerospace Engineering at RMIT University. Professor Gee leads multidisciplinary research, education and workforce training for Aerospace and Defence. She has worked in both the corporate and tertiary sectors and is passionate about supporting technology sector growth, in close partnership with Government and the Aerospace and Defence industries.
Professor Regina Crameri is the Associate Dean, Allied Health and Deputy Director at SLWC at RMIT University. She was a Senior Defence Scientist at the Defence Science and Technology (DST) Group and recently held the position of Associate Director of the Defence Science Institute.
Professor Allison Kealy is the Associate Dean, International Engagement , Research Director, Program 2, Advanced Satellite Systems, Sensors and Intelligence, SmartSAT CRC, Deputy Director at SLWC, President, Commission 4, International Association of Geodesy, and Professor of Geospatial Sciences at RMIT. Her research interests include wireless sensor networks, sensor fusion and estimation theory, high precision GNSS, collaborative positioning for intelligent transportation systems and GNSS quality assessment.
Professor Pier Marzocca is Associate Dean, Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Discipline in the School of Engineering at RMIT University. He holds a Research Professorial position from Clarkson University in USA, and academic credentials from Virginia Tech, University of South California, the US Naval Research Laboratory, with a PhD and Master from Politecnico di Torino Italy. Prof Marzocca is internationally recognised for his work on aerospace aerodynamics, structures, controls and their interactions.
