We’re delighted to invite you to the Capital Region Launch of the Wollongong University White Ribbon Ambassador Research - Case Study of White Ribbon Australia’s Ambassador Program on Monday, October 17, 2016.
This exciting event will bring together White Ribbon supporters from across the community to share and reflect on the findings from this critical research, including learnings in how we can effectively engage men in the prevention violence against women.
Based on 296 online surveys and 86 interviews, it is the first independent evaluation of the Ambassador Program since its establishment over a decade ago. As men who actively engage and educate other men in the prevention of violence against women, Ambassadors are fundamental to the White Ribbon social movement and the broader purpose of making women’s safety a man’s issue too.
Please join researcher Kenton Bell, and other local speakers to discuss the key findings of this research and to develop ideas on how White Ribbon can support local initiatives in violence prevention.
Drinks and canapés will be provided.
White Ribbon is the world's largest movement of men and boys working together to end men's violence against women and girls, promote gender equality, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity.
A nation that respects women, in which every woman lives in safety, free from all forms of men's abuse.
Engaging men to make women's safety a man's issue too.
