Event description

Description

On Friday night the 16th of December, the crew behind White Noise Music are bringing an especially unique event to Sorry Grandma! as an early Christmas present to the people of Melbourne.... with TWO of the biggest names in techno - here, and internationally.

BASS TO PAIN CONVERTER (BASSIC RECORDS)

All the way from Berlin, B2PC has made a huge impact on the electronic music scene, with a powerhouse live performance of the highest calibre. Dark, twisted and ethereal techno, this event is not your usual techno party.

Twisting the most heartfelt soundscapes into techno of the heaviest brutality, prepare for deep bass transmutation. A background in production, DJing, instrumentation and live performance powers Paul's set with technical versatility and vast origins. Since launching early 2014, B2PC has performed at some of the most notorious events across Australia and hosted a monthly show on Fnoob Techno Radio, as well as previously on DNA Radio.

Late last year B2PC won the 'Smash The Main Floor' DJ competition that saw him play main stage at one of Australia's most infamous festivals, Earthcore, amongst acts such as Infected Mushroom, Chris Liebing, Sam Paganini, Rødhåd, Pig&Dan, Victor Ruiz, D.A.V.E The Drummer and Pfirter.

B2PC’s debut EP 'Creatures' (Bassic Records) gained support from the likes of Knobs, Kliment, Paul Abad, Interpulse and Dean Benson. Since then they have had releases on various labels, including having remixed DJ Balthazar (Renesanz Records), Knobs (Nachtstrom Schallplatten/Moth Records), Ben Rama (Zenon Records/Techgnosis Records), Aerodromme and Triforce.

MUSKA (ORGANIC AUDIO)
https://soundcloud.com/djmuska

If you've attended a Melbourne underground music event over the past eight years - whether in a club, courtyard or festival - chances are you've come across Michael Muska.

Drum and bass acted as the gateway genre to Michael quickly becoming a vinyl junkie in his late teens. His musical palate expanded to encompass breaks, glitch, house, techno and all of the sub-genres between.

Dynamic sets and an inherent compulsion to rebel against the musical norm landed Muska residencies at Brown Alley, Lounge, The Likes Of You, Circus Saturdays, Whomp Music, the original Two Floors Up and early Revolver Upstairs days as well at cureent repeat main stage performances at premier Australian festivals Strawberry Fields, Let Them Eat Cake, Subsonic Music, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Wide Open Spaces and the infamous Rainbow Serpent Festival.

Muska’s tenacious attitude and knack for connecting the right people naturally lead to event promotion, hosting over 350 successful Melbourne events and culminating in his party magnum opus as the co founder of, Let Them Eat Cake Festival (NYD).

There aren't many Australian DJ's with a resume to match. At White Noise Music, we're truly humbled to bring Muska on-board for a show we're proud to bring to Melbourne.

Being surrounded by Australia’s electronic talent proved a positive influence for Michael, who managed to devote creative energy into music production, slowly but surely building a catalog of music that he is proud of. With tracks out on Addictech Records as well as upcoming releases on Vapour Recordings / eVapour8 Recordings (Official page!) and Lo-Fi 45, Muska is studio focused more than ever before. The 2016 summer festival circuit will hear a collection of new, unreleased tracks being described as the ozzie sub genre Bushtechno, a sound inspired by the Australian bushdoof that Muska continuously sits at the forefront and raises the bar as a dj and Producer of this sound.

Muska’s penchant for big room, twisted techno and festival-inspired beats make him the obvious choice to headline alongside Bass to Pain Converter in December.

Prepare to lose yourself in what will be an avalanche of electronic mayhem at what is fast becoming Melbourne’s premier techno venue - Sorry Grandma!
