Introduction to whistleblower protections and policy requirements under the Corporations Act 2001 and ASIC's Regulatory Guide RG 270.
About this event
This is the second of two webinars on the topic of Whistleblower Policies.
Public companies, Large private companies, and Trustees of superannuation entities must have whistleblower policies in place by 1 January 2020. Even though other companies don't have to have a policy, the whistleblower protections apply to all companies regardless of size.
#1 Bootcamp (Completed - Separately recorded session available on request)
Our first session on 6 December 2019 was designed for participants who needed to have (or would benefit from) a whistleblower policy and wanted to know where to start.
We learned about the whistleblower disclosure protections and the requirements for a policy that complies with the regulatory guidance provided by ASIC We’ll also covered some of trickier aspects - e.g. authorising your industry association to receive disclosures and integrating your whistleblower policies with codes of professional conduct and other responsibilities.
#2 Sandbox $180 (inc GST)
Our follow up Sandbox session is designed for participants who’ve been working on their whistleblower policy (or are about to) and want to test or get feedback on their design ahead of the commencement date on 1st Jan 2020. You can find out more about the separate Sandbox Session and register via this link
Format: 90- minute webinar (approx.) with time for questions & answers. This is a live presentation. We are deliberately not recording it so that participants can feel free to ask questions.
