Whim 'n Rhythm - Fundraising Concert (for the Sydney Feminists)
Event Information
Description
Formed in 1981, Whim 'n Rhythm is Yale University's senior women's a cappella group. Every year, Whim records a professional studio album and embarks on a world tour, helping to promote the role of women in both higher education and music.
This year, for the second time, Whim 'n Rhythm have kindly offered this concert as a fundraiser for the Sydney Feminists, in support of our education work! Part of Whim's 2018 world tour, this will be their only public show in Sydney. The group's repertoire ranges from Marvin Gaye and Fleetwood Mac to Adele and Corinne Bailey Rae - all performed with great stage presence and a huge sense of fun.
We're delighted to host this fundraiser at the Red Rattler, a fabulous artist-run space in Marrickville. This is an all-ages show, so please bring friends and family. Before and after the show buy a drink at the Rat's licensed bar, enjoy delicious eats from the African Feeling Food Truck, browse the merchandise tables and try your luck in our raffle. See you there!
