Event Details

Business is not a simple transaction anymore.  We’re in a digital revolution and it’s changed what we do to grow our businesses forever.

It’s pretty profound. It’s also super-exciting in its boundless opportunity.  As entrepreneurs, we’ve created an abundance of innovative solutions to fill previously untapped niches and found that  the challenge to take these successfully to market has grown exponentially.

We’re working harder than ever to reach, teach and convert. But drowning in a
torrent of information and a whirlpool of social media.

We burn precious time clicking our way to clusters, not communities, gathering hundreds of likes, links and connections. Clusters gather dust. Their worth is just a number.  Zero.

There is a better way!
Clusters don’t care. A community is interested. But a clan is invested in your success.

The digital revolution has also gifted us all the ability to find, connect to and share a new conversation with our customers.  One to drive a thriving clan that will act, buy and adocate.

Like any best-practice business-development solution, building a vested clan requires a structured process. The Explore Your Clan half day workshop reveals seven essential steps to do this that will change the way you do business forever.

Clarity - your indelible essence

The importance of purpose
What is your indelible essence? What is the most authentic expression of who you are and your purpose?
Many entrepreneurs suffer from Multiple Offer Disorder (MOD) and are not clear on their best solution and who they serve with it.

Gaining clarity on what you’re positioning online, yourself as the expert, your business, or your industry niche informs everything else you do online.

Curiosity - the merits of being inquisitive

Where's Wally ...online?
If Wally is your perfect customer (and potential clan member), where is he and how do you find him? If he’s your competitor, what’s he doing?

Every day tens, hundreds, even thousands of people are looking online for your solution.
Do you know how they search, and in what numbers?  If you don’t, someone else does.

Being curious online is exciting.  It offers you extraordinary insight into customers, competitors and collaborators alike.

Coherence - order your life online

Coherence the magnet
What’s the state of your online world? Are you a little bit everywhere? Scattered all over the web, sending out communications that lack purpose and coherence, for little or no result?

Coherence is the magnet that pulls everything in your online world together. It ensures every click counts to support your brand, direct your communications and build your clan.

Control - own your online space

You're building an asset
How old is your website?  Who owns, hosts and manages it?  If you don’t, who does and who has the keys? Where are your online account log in details? How consistent is your brand, profile, content, offer and
voice online? How do you control your online reputation?

Having a website that you don’t own or control is like having a car without the keys.  When you ask to drive it, it takes days to get the keys and you’re charged for the privilege.

Your website is an asset.  Like any other asset, you should be able to easily access and manage it and your online space.

Communication - the art of influence

Communicate like a leader
Are you a compelling communicator?  Do you tell stories that teach, inspire, coach and serve?
Learning your authentic voice and the five steps to building trust online is vital to purposeful blogging and your online commmunication.

If you think you’ve nothing to say, think again! You’re an encyclopedia of knowledge. If it’s stuck in your brain or only on show when you’re in front of a customer, it’s not working for you. You’re working for it.

It’s time to learn how to extract that value, convert it into sparkling content and unleash your best sales rep to find, engage and connect with your perfect customer.

Connection - find, invite, engage, enrol

Make your connections count
Are you collecting clusters?  Clusters of business cards, connections, likes, followers and pluses?

How do you use your social networking tools to connect?  Are you initiating the conversation?  How often do you communicate with your contacts once you have them?  Do they respond when you ask?

Making connections count is the art of having a different conversation that will find, engage and enrol your clan members.

Collaboration - ordinary into extraordinary

Lead a supercharged life
Clan leaders invite others to collaborate.  They think, act and succeed in partnerships, understanding that what can be done together is yet to be imagined.

When you partner with your clan in a common purpose that aligns to the mutual interests, passions and enjoyment of both, you plant the seeds that will turn an ordinary business into an extraordinary organisation.
This mutual investment in benefitting others amplifies your efforts and outcomes, supercharging your life.

Sandy McDonald, Get It Right Online

Sandy is an online marketing coach.   She blogs, is an author and a TEDx speaker.

After 22 years running a marketing communications company, she used purposeful blogging to start and build a vast global community that works to help children orphaned in Africa.

Sandy’s TEDx talk, Tell your story, save a life, for which she received a standing ovation, is based on this experience and explains how your story can enrich, change or even save lives.

Her book, Get it right online. Build a clan and supercharge your business, details the framework to do this.

Now Sandy works with business owners to bring clarity into their complex online world.

She helps them build a coherent and correctly positioned online platform from which to tell the stories that can build a loyal clan, as both a business development and life-changing practice.

Blogging is story telling.  Done well it's a paradigm shift, changing a business conversation to what matters; how to make a difference in people's lives.

She believes that at the intersection of the Internet, compassion and stories, communities gather, and that what can be done with such communities is yet to be imagined.

She is known for converting a complex online world into practical, but life-changing steps for business owners to supercharge their business AND their lives.
