When Stress Stops Working: Resetting your nervous system at work & home

Overview

Learn about different types of stress, and discover strategies to help reset your nervous system when you're exhausted or overwhelmed.

Most of us rely on some level of "healthy stress" to help motivate us and get through busy days, deadlines, and competing demands. But over time, stress can stop being helpful and start taking a toll on our energy, mood, sleep, and relationships.

This webinar helps employees understand what’s really happening in the body and nervous system under ongoing stress, and why “pushing through” or “just coping” often stops working.

Delivered by our psychologists, this session isn't therapy and doesn’t require any prior knowledge; just curiosity and a willingness to understand yourself a little better.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • How the nervous system responds to pressure and threat
  • Why stress can show up as fatigue, irritability, anxiety, poor sleep, or feeling shut down
  • Common signs your system may be overloaded, even if you feel like you’re still functioning
  • Simple, evidence-based strategies to calm and regulate stress responses in everyday life

The focus is on understanding, not fixing, and on small changes that are realistic in busy work and home environments.

Who this session is for

  • Employees feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or constantly “on”
  • People who notice stress is affecting their sleep, mood, or relationships
  • Anyone wanting practical tools to manage pressure more sustainably

This webinar is designed for early support and prevention, as well as for those who’ve been carrying stress for a long time.
