Event description

Description

In this workshop we will explore some of the new features in Windows 10, focussing on 3D objects, mixed reality and video editing – and how these can be used to enhance learning and teaching.
Explore the new Paint 3D app to create and edit 3D objects.
Enhance your videos with 3D objects and animated characters to tell stories in a whole new way with mixed reality and amazing special effects. Draw on a photo with Windows Ink to highlight something for your audience. Draw on a video, and the ink will track an object in your scene. You can use your own music, or let Story Remix supply a soundtrack that is customized to match your story.
Experience Mixed reality: drop 3D objects into the real world, resize them then, using the Mixed Reality Viewer, walk around the object and see it from all sides.
Learn, play and share ideas for using the new features of Windows 10 in the classroom.

It is recommended that you bring a Windows 10 laptop with the Fall Creators Update (Oct 2017) installed. We will also have spare Surface Pros for teachers to borrow.
Suitable for all classroom teachers.
If you have any questions, please email Steven Payne: v-stpay@microsoft.com

Parking: if you are driving, please park in the underground carpark, we can then validate your ticket for free parking. If the underground carpark is full, please park outside and come in to get a parking pass.
