Event description

Description

Why were these gardens created? Who were they designed for? When did the gardens become open to the public? What rose is this?

A guided walk of Old Parliament House Gardens highlighting the variety of rose plantings and the history of the space. The gardens were originally for parliamentarians only, but since the redevelopment in early 21 century they are now open to all. Your friendly guide will meet you at the steps of Old Parliament House, and explain how a private garden for members and senators, became a place of beauty for all visitors.
