Event description

Description

On 22 February 2018, Australia will become the latest jurisdiction to introduce a mandatory data breach notification regime. This will require companies to notify regulators and affected individuals of security breaches involving personal data. Join the Vic Claims Discussion Group Inc. as it provides valuable insights on how Australian insurers can be prepared to respond in the event of a data breach. The seminar will also explore the legal requirements, as well as the costs and benefits of notifying data breaches to regulators and the public.

The seminar will be presented by Nicholas Blackmore, Special Counsel, Kennedys. Nicholas is Head of Kennedys APAC Cyber Risk Group and is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer, dual qualified in Hong Kong and Australia.

Come join the discussion!
