Reading this now? You can buy a ticket at the door. Come jam with us!
"What if everyone in the world had an explosive telephone in their body? If you could find out their number you can detonate their phone?"
"You are a bear but for some reason your oxygen comes from hugging people. Problem is that hugging people breaks their bones."
"A FPS where you control a soldier’s shoe, however imagine if you play as a shoe that was left at home with your wife and children during war."
You are invited to change everything ever by making a game in 48 hours.
This jam is based on the tweets of @PeterMolydeux, a parody of legendary English game designer Peter Molyneux. @PeterMolydeux takes his namesake's whimsical approach to game design and takes it a step further by coming up with game designs that range from meaningful to hilarious.
All participants in this jam will draw from @PeterMolydeux's extensive backlog of ideas to develop a game that challenges their own creativity, the norms of games development, and perhaps the very nature of reality itself.
You just have to believe.
Thanks to our sponsors for making this possible: Hub Melbourne is generously providing the location and internet - it's a great space to jam! Our prizes are courtesy of EA Australia. Thanks also to our community sponsors: Andrew Brophy, Harry Lee, and Sam Mayo.
Bring your own game making tools (laptops, pens, energy drinks creative juices etc) and survival tools (sleeping bag, toothbrush, clothes, DEODORANT etc). Note that Hub is three flights of stairs above street level. There is an elevator. The event is also conveniently located right across Southern Cross Station, with food and drink stores nearby.
