The Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and BGEA invites you to hear from Nicole Lockwood, Independent Chair of the Westport Taskforce, on the project’s latest progress and findings

The Westport Taskforce is working on a strategy to handle the long-term freight needs of Perth and the South West, with a focus on how best to develop the port precincts at Bunbury, Fremantle and Kwinana.

The Westport: Port and Environs Strategy will be delivered to Government by the end of the year.

The Westport Taskforce’s most recent report, Westport: What we have found so far released in December 2018, outlined eight strategic options that are currently being investigated by the Taskforce in detail. Several of these options see Bunbury Port playing a much bigger role in handling Perth’s freight task.
