Event description

Description

From August to October 2019, seven community leaders and community workers from newly arrived migrant and refugee communities will undertake WEstjustice's Employment Law Train the Trainer program in Melton.

This program is being run with the generous support of the Victorian Government - Multicultural Affairs and Social and Community Affairs Division, Department of Premier and Cabinet. The program is also supported by many government agencies, law firms, community legal centres and community organisations who provide expert speakers, tours and venues for the program.

Our Showcase event is a chance for community leaders who have completed the program to present a part of the 'Work Rights in Australia' training session they have developed and will be sharing with their communities.

Come along to the Showcase to hear more about the training program, meet the community leaders, learn about employment laws in Australia and be introduced to the tailored education resources and legal services available to assist newly arrived migrant and refugee communities to improve employment outcomes.

This event is free and light refreshments will be available. Please register on Eventbrite for catering purposes.

If you have any questions please contact Liz Morgan on liz@westjustice.org.au on 03 8387 1619

All welcome. Please circulate this invitation to other interested staff and organisations.
