Event description

Description

Do you work in Western Sydney and want to explore how to:

  • use citizen science to add value to your work?
  • design best practice citizen science projects?
  • keep your citizen scientists engaged?

This free forum has been designed in response to interest by local councils in Western Sydney in developing best practice citizen science projects.

It is for staff in any Western Sydney council, along with agencies and universities wanting to focus on those all-important steps to design a quality project: asking the right questions, managing data and building ongoing effective partnerships to deliver better outcomes for Western Sydney.

Participants will hear from experts and citizen scientists who will showcase best practice across a wide range of projects.

There will be opportunities to get advice and possible collaboration on current or potential citizen science projects.

The forum will be a dynamic mix of guest-speakers, round table discussions, action planning and networking.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Bring your keep cup on the day as we delve into sustainability discussions!

Please RSVP by COB Wednesday 17th October.

If you have any questions, please call 9995 6026, or email janice.bagot@environment.nsw.gov.au or judith@wsroc.com.au
