The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation in partnership with Maribyrnong City Council and Victoria University are hosting a free event to celebrate International Women's Day. Hosted at the VU Whitten Oval in Barkers Cafe, welcoming all to come along and have the chance to listen to a panel of inspirational women, celebrate women of all ages and have a kick to kick on VU Whitten Oval.

There will be light refreshments and catering with an exciting list of guest speakers including but not limited to:

• Mayor of Maribyrnong City Council, Cr Sarah Carter

• Director, Western Bulldogs Football Club and Basketball Australia CEO, Jerril Rechter

• Inspiring Author and local resident of the West - Amal Abou-Eid

• Women Making It Happen Member and 2019 Melton Citizen of the Year, Maureen Mohr

Everyone is welcome to attend but we do ask if children are in attendance they are under parental supervision.

The 2020 theme for International Women's Day is #IAmGenerationEquality aiming to inspire the next generation of female leaders to come together and continue being the change makers for all ages and genders. With a collective mission to tackle the unfinished business of reaching equality, women and girls of all ages can come together and empower each other.
