Learn how to build fun games and animations using coding, while learning more about the diverse heritage of Western Sydney!

As part of West Fest, the Heritage Near Me program is hosting coding workshops for kids across Western Sydney. Code Club for Kids will teach beginner coding skills over a 60 min lesson using the platform ‘Scratch’. Kids will explore the culture and heritage of Western Sydney while learning how to build games and animations using block coding! This event is delivered in partnership with Code Club Australia, a charity with the aim of giving every child the skills, confidence and opportunity to shape their world through digital technologies education.

There are four sessions available on this day: 10am, 11:30am, 2pm, and 3:30pm
Location: Campbelltown Civic Hall, 91 Queen St, Campbelltown NSW 2560

Please note that each child needs to be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the workshop. Parents can participate and learn alongside their children. Please be aware that photography and videography may be taken at this event.

This is event is being hosted by the Heritage Near Me program as part of West Fest. West Fest is a two-week festival which will be held in multiple locations across Western Sydney from 6-21 October 2018. West Fest will enliven the intangible heritage of the West through a variety of hands on experiences that will provide you with unique opportunities to engage, share and celebrate our heritage.
