Guided and walking tours of landscapes, significant places and communities with fascinating histories (Watton Street - Synnot Street)

Theme : Connecting People, Places and the Past

Werribee Heritage Trail is created with the vision of recognising and celebrating the significance of our natural, historic heritage places and ensuring they are valued by people, protected for future generations and cared for by the community.

Werribee Heritage Trail Vision : building strong partnerships with communities to celebrate their natural, historic and heritage, and to engage lovers of heritage and new audiences with the stories of our past and present so they may be preserved for the future.

The Werribee Heritage Trail will bring to life all chapters of Australian culture and history, telling the stories of diverse and distinctive experiences that make up our communities, what the challenges are in preserving heritage, how places of significance are kept safe and recognised and how to embrace the perspectives of our past as a means to face the challenges and embrace the opportunities of our future.

The track is for walkers only, due to the nature of the Track route is not widely used by people with physical disabilities, however, the track between the Wedge St. Piazza and Chirnside Park is designed to be wheelchair and pram accessible. Additionally, Wedge St Piazza – Wyndham Art Gallery/ Cultural Centre has wheelchair access, an accessible shelter and accessible toilet.
