Wellness Walk Glenrock Saturday 4pm
Sat. 10 December 2016, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm AEDT
Glenrock Wellness Walk is an open for all community event.
Explore a beautiful natural sanctuary on foot and experience the calming group energy of a mindfulness experience!
You are invited to participate and contribute to the group and share your thoughts and insights in the discussion - or you may choose to simply be present and observe. It is entirely up to you. The Wellness Walk is focused on mindfulness and being present in the moment - which has profound stress relieving and meditation benefits.
The goal of the wellness walk is to give you a calm, centered feeling of being grounded and relaxed. Saturday afternoon/twilight in summer is the perfect time to come back home to yourself and begin winding down for rest and self acceptance.
The Wellness Walk is an independent initiative of MindBodyCalm, a wellness collective facilitated by Bren Murphy. Your participation in this event involves
- walking with the group in silence
- sitting in mindful meditation,
- listening / sharing in the discussion if you wish.
Otherwise, just come along for the walk and enjoy sharing the healthy positive energy and magical vibes we generate as a group.
The overall energy of the activity is calm, centred and mindful. We are not promoting any cause or religious affiliation or political agenda. It's just simply a beautiful outdoor moving space to inhabit for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon with gentle, calm and grounded like minded people. Please respect each other person's right to silence, privacy and personal space.
The Wellness Walk is at a calm steady pace, so you can participate even with limited fitness. Please wear sensible shoes and ensure your mobile phone doesn't beep or buzz during the walk.
Where do we meet?
Please be on standby around the map sign near the start start of the trail in the Yeurlarbah Carpark. Arrive in good time around 350pm so we can identify each other - and be mindful we leave at 4pm sharp so we don't keep everyone waiting.
The Wellness Walk is based on the principles of walking mindfulness, so we begin with simply walking along and observing nature. At some point during the walk we pause and sit in a group for a mindfulness discussion led by the Walk facilitator. Then we turn and head back to the starting point. It's a very powerful exercise in simplicity.
