Description

Practicing self-love, advocating self-care and encouraging self-education, Stevie & Tay are trailblazing their way around the west side on a mission to create a community of like-minded souls aspiring to be the best versions of themselves!

"Wellness Out West" monthly workshops aim to awaken, uplift and support you through your own journey to optimal health. Transforming not only your lives but creating a ripple effect to transform the lives around you too. Planting seeds and empowering you to seek your truth, these workshops foster an open-minded, non-judgey, heart-centred space where practical knowledge and resources are shared and you are given the opportunity to connect with professionals and people in the south-west Sydney area.

Our November workshop is all about food, glorious FOOD!

"The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison." - Ann Wigmore.

Before you sit down for a meal and take that first bite, do you put any thought into how nutritional your meal is, where your food has come from, how it's was grown/raised and if it is going to nourish or punish your body? If your answer is no, then you are not alone.

The truth is that every time we eat or drink, we are either feeding disease or we are fighting it.

In today's world, so many of us operate on "cheap and convenient" autopilot when it comes to fueling our bodies. We have sadly become out of touch and disconnected from the food on our plate. Then there are those of us who sit on the other end of the spectrum, the type who obsess over every calorie, every portion, worried that if we don't restrict our diet then we will lose control and gain the weight (we have certainly tipped the scale at both ends many times in our lives)!

So for this workshop, we are going to cover all bases from getting back to basics by eating REAL foods, to learning how to be a food detective (reading labels), the difference between conventional and organic (how harmful pesticides/chemicals are to our health), simple steps to starting your own organic veggie garden to understanding how to make peace with your plate by changing your relationship with food as well as learning how to shift your mindset, change your excuses and priorities, create mindful habits and begin eating because you love your body, not because you hate it.

Joining us on the night will be three amazing speakers who will share nuggets of wisdom and an abundance of knowledge with us!

Hapi and Kath from Field To Feast are organic dryland farmers who grow and sell their produce free from pesticides, chemicals and (guess what...) water! They are passionate about encouraging families to eat nutritionally dense spray-free food and are local to the Campbelltown/Macarthur area.

Samantha Flook from The Core Health, is a Certified Health & Lifestyle Coach who is passionate about helping others by empowering individuals with knowledge and guidance to create their ideal life, encompassing nutrition, mindset and lifestyle.

We really hope you can join us for another epic night of self-love, self-care and self-education!
