Event description
Wellington Young Farmers' Annual Industry Function, this year with the theme 'Small Changes for Big Impacts'.

About this Event

Wellington Young Farmers are pleased to present our Annual Industry Function. This annual event is our flagship event. We hope that you will join us for another excellent industry function where we bring together some of our industry leaders in a panel to reflect on our theme of 'Small Changes for Big Impacts'.

This year, we are all about small changes for big impact. What matters to farmers? What matters to consumers? Let’s find the right stuff to work on.

Young Farmers feel passionately about supporting the backbone of our economy through change, while remaining sustainable and not impacting the ability to produce food and fibre for Aotearoa and the world.

Our panelists:

  • Lain Jager | Primary Sector Council Chair, Former CEO Zespri NZ
  • Jane Fraser-Jones | National Agri Lead – Deloitte NZ
  • John Rodwell | NZ Sheep and Beef farmer, Primary Sector Council member, Landcare Research Director
  • Mark Aspin | Consortium Manager, Pastoral Greenhouse gas Research Consortium
  • Robert Barry | NZ Young Farmers Board Member, Hawke’s Bay Dairy Farmer - BEL Group Sustainability Lead

We are also very excited to have Mike Chapman, the CEO of Horticulture New Zealand as our MC for the evening.

We look forward to a night of robust discussion, insights from our panelists and networking

All are welcome, please ensure you register for a ticket as numbers are limited this year due to venue constraints.

Thank you to our sponsors:

Platinum event partner and drinks sponsor: Horticulture New Zealand
