Wellington Champions of Change Breakfast
1 in 3 women in Australia have experienced physical or sexual abuse since the age of 15. Each week in Australia, one woman is killed by her current or former partner. In Wellington, family violence incidents involving the police have increased by 120% in the last four years.
The community is taking action to change the story and prevent violence against women. Any woman is a wife, daughter, sister or friend.
The Wellington Champions of Change Breakfast invites our female and male leaders and participants in business, education, sport, the arts and community life to come together on 25 November, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and White Ribbon Day, to discover and support the work being done locally to promote gender equality and prevent family violence.
Breakfast will be served from 7:00am at the Criterion Hotel in Sale (upstairs), with presentations beginning at 7:30am.
Please register your attendance online via the Eventbrite link below before Tuesday 15 November - this event is FREE to attend, so bring a friend or colleague!
