Wellbeing through Nature - Working Party: Namadgi National Park
Date and time
Wellbeing through Nature is partnering with Southern ACT Catchment Group to hold a working party at Namadgi National Park Visitors Centre.
About this event
Caring for country is also an act of self care; for we are not separated from nature, but part of it. Giving back to the land through acts of conservation can help us feel more connected to our surroundings. With this in mind, Wellbeing through Nature is partnering with Southern ACT Catchment Group to hold a working party at the foothills of Namadgi National Park. Join Wellbeing program coordinator Sally Holliday and Bushfire Recovery Project Coordinator Jeff Eichler to explore plant care in its various forms.
We'll learn what new plantings need to grow and how we can lend a helping hand to assist their transition into healthy, established habitat for wildlife. We'll undertake weed identification and removal within the surroundings of the Namandgi Visitor Centre before breaking for afternoon tea. As we enjoy a well earned cuppa, Sally will lead the group in a mindfulness meditation and nature connection activity.
Please be sunwise, wear long pants/sleeves and comfortable, enclosed shoes. Equipment will be provided but please bring a water bottle to keep hydrated.
