"More than words, reconciliation takes action'
Join us as we officially launch National Reconciliation Week in NSW Education from our home office at 105 Phillip Street in Parramatta - it's a great opportunity to come together with colleagues and to celebrate and learn more about Darug culture.
We'll meet at the ground floor vertical garden area (adjacent to the entry foyer) where we'll hear from local Elder Uncle Lex who will provide a Welcome to Country and insights into the history and ongoing cultural significance of the Parramatta area to the Darug people. He'll also perform a smoking ceremony and we'll be treated to a dance performance from Jannawi Dance Clan.
Afterwards you're welcome to yarn and enjoy some afternoon tea in the foyer.
If you register but are later unable to attend this event please make sure you cancel your ticket so that someone else can attend (numbers are restricted due to COVID capacity rules).
