Description

The Welcome Dinner Project is coming to South Bank!

The Welcome Dinner Project QLD - Family Barbeque (BBQ) & 2018 Launch will provide an opportunity for people from all walks of life and different cultures to share great food, to make new connections and to celebrate inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging.

The event will be an opportunity to spend time with past and future dinner participants from across Brisbane City, share stories and learn about other cultures in a meaningful and fun way. The BBQ is also be a great way to learn more about the project and kickstart 2018. You will also be able to meet the new Volunteer and Coordination teams.

This event will be a little different to a typical Welcome Dinner/Lunch as we will be providing a free BBQ for all attendees to say thank you for your patience and support.

However, do feel free to bring some food to share to complement the meal (snacks/nibbles, drinks, desserts).

This event is being held in association with Grill'd Southbank who are kindly donating some food and volunteers to cook the BBQ as part of our Local Matters feature in January 2018.

Entry is FREE and everyone is invited to come along but please reserve to secure your seat.

No ticket is required - but you must register your intent to come along for catering purposes. Each member of a family group or group of friends must be registered individually.

If you cannot make it on the day, and would like to contribute to connecting more people in 2018, we would appreciate a small donation via our #WelcomeYourWay campaign:
