Preparing for Ramadan 

with Shaykh Haisam Farache

 

Week 1 - Every Nation Fasted:
The History of Fasting from our Father Adam to our Master Muhammad's Nation ﷺ

Week 2 - RAMADAN 101:
The basics of Ramadan, jurisprudence [fiqh], the elements of fasting and its virtues

Week 3 - The Inner Dimensions of Ramadan:
The Spiritual Secrets that will help maximise the full benefit of the Holy Month

Week 4 - Sealing Ramadan with Excellence:
The Night of Decree, Eid, and keeping your connection with Allah ﷻ post-Ramadan

 

Runs for 4 weeks every Tuesday starting from 17 April until 8th May, 7:15PM sharp.

No cost or requirements for entry. Please bring a pen and book (or laptop), and an intention to learn and benefit.

 

 

 

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Underground Parking is available for free underneath Bankstown Library. The library is a two minute walk from Bankstown Station.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We will have a mobile app to check your name off the list. Please ensure you register.

Can I have some more information about the speaker?

Born and raised on Sydney’s North Shore, Shaykh Haisam Farache commenced his undergraduate university studies at the University of Montana, USA. He attained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Sydney, a Diploma in Shariah (Hons) Dar al Mustafa, Yemen and a Master of Applied Family Law from the College of Law, Sydney.

Shaykh Haisam holds numerous Ijazas (Licenses) in Islamic Law from scholars in Yemen, Syria, Tunisia, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. Previously he has held posts as an Imam at Imam Ali Mosque (Lakemba Mosque) and Artarmon Mosque.

Currently, Shaykh Haisam is the principal solicitor at Garrison Lawyers predominantly practicing in family law. He also teaches at Charles Sturt University, Arts Faculty in Islamic Studies, a Minister of Religion (Islam) and is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
