Join us for an online session on Monday 3 August to learn more about Horizon 2020 research opportunities that Australian researchers can participate in.

This information session will focus primarily on European Research Council (ERC) grants and Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA).

It will be presented by Nishant Shandilya, Regional Representative, EURAXESS Australia & New Zealand. University of Sydney Professor Glenda Sluga, recipient of the 2019 ERC Advanced grant, will share her experiences.

Audience: PhD students, Early and Mid-Career Researchers and Senior researchers from any research discipline.

What is Horizon 2020?

The Horizon 2020 programme - worth €80 billion (circa AUD $115 billion) over the 2014 to 2020 period - is the EU’s flagship scientific programme promoting scientific excellence and industrial leadership in tackling society’s most pressing challenges.

  • The European Research Council (ERC)provides attractive and flexible funding to top researchers and their teams to pursue the highest quality “frontier” or basic research in Europe.

What is EURAXESS?

EURAXESS Australia & New Zealand links researchers of Australia and New Zealand with Europe. it provides free information about European research, career opportunities, international collaboration & networking possibilities.
