Description

Connect & Learn – Webinar series for AOD clinicians

Connect & Learn is a series of 10 case-based webinars funded by DHHS, designed to support AOD clinicians throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria. Webinars are presented by experienced clinicians currently working in the AOD sector and facilitated by Turning Point.

We are excited to announce webinar #3 in the series on Wednesday 21 March at 1pm (ACST).

Topic: From clinician to leader in the AOD sector - Personal experiences and learnings

This webinar turns the case-based lens on the clinician rather than the client. It will draw on the clinical and leadership practice of Change Agent Network (CAN) members Shannon Bell and Beth Locke. Together they will share their experiences and top tips for transitioning from clinician to clinical leader.

Presenters:

Shannon Bell is the manager of ReGen’s non-residential Rehabilitation Catalyst programs. With over 14 years’ working in the AOD sector, he is passionate about ensuring that the non-residential model continues to expand and be delivered at a high standard across the sector.

Beth Locke has been working in the AOD sector for 11 years, primarily in a community health setting. Beth currently manages the AOD service at Access Health & Community in Melbourne’s Inner East. Beth has a passion for project work, ensuring harm reduction principles are acknowledged in recovery oriented treatment and supporting staff to feel confident in their work.

Who should register? This webinar is suitable for workers in the AOD, mental health, allied health and welfare sectors.
