CartoGIS Training: Web mapping with ArcGIS Online

About this event

Learn to use Story Maps, an easy to use story telling tool which allows you to weave a compelling narrative and share it with your audience.

What: Web mapping with ArcGIS Online (GIS104) is 2 x 3-hr hands on sessions which complement, but do not require, training in ArcGIS Story Maps. In these sessions you will be introduced to the fundamentals of web-mapping in ArcGIS Online and learn to generate well-designed web-maps that you can embed into your Story Maps, link to from a blog, and share through social media! You will explore how to make pop-ups and control interactivity with existing templates, learning to generate maps which effectively reveal patterns and tell your research story.

When: Online lab sessions will run from 1pm - 4pm on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May 2021. Participation in both of these lab sessions is required for this course.

Training is for ANU staff and HDR students only.
