The National Science Week and the IEEE (International Electrical and Electronic Engineering) Women in Engineering Affinity Group Victorian Section brings you the Energised Fashion Runway, the first Australian fashion runway featuring wearable technology and e-textile. The event will be held on 22/8/2015 at the Story Hall in RMIT University city campus in Melbourne.
We would like to invite you to submit your design for showcase at the fashion runway and the hands-on lab. We are looking for wearable technology designs in a number of domains including fashion, communications, entertainment, medical and healthcare, occupational health and safety. The designs will be judged and a total prize money of $500 and certificates will be presented to the best designs. The finalist selection will occur on 25th July 2015. 1st August 2015

Free Wearable Technologies Workshops
Leading to the fashion event are a series of Wearable Technologies workshop using the Lilypad Arduino which the IEEE has been awarded a grant to conduct. The workshops will be free to attend, where they will have hands-on access to the latest wearable technologies with guidance on implementation of their designs.
