We are a supportive community of paddlers from all ages, backgrounds and experience levels. We like to train hard and get fit while enjoying the company of our teammates. We love the thrill of dragon boat racing and invite you to come and experience it.

COVID NOTICE:

Please let us know at least the day before if you are able to attend, so we can manage the numbers for everyone's safety.

Due to COVID restrictions, only toilet facilities are available right now. The locker and shower rooms cannot be used.

We are also not allowed to store anything at the boat shed right now so please keep your belongings in the car or in a waterproof bag to bring onto the boat.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age is 10 (persons under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian).

What do I need to bring?

Sports or comfortable clothing (that you are not afraid to get wet), a drink bottle, and a change of clothes for after.

We will provide the boat, the paddles and the PFDs (portable flotation device).

Are there costs involved?

This is a free event. Registering for a Dragon Pass lets you try paddling with us for free for 1 month, after which you will require a club membership to continue.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public transport: The no.11 and no.48 trams will get you within 1 minute walking distance to the boat hub.

Ride: There is a locked bike room at the hub, and with bike racks outside the Hub library located close by.

Drive: 2 hour street parking is available on Bourke and Collins Streets. $10 whole day multi-storey parking in Merchant St (run by CarePark - price may be different on Marvel Stadium event days).

Please give yourself ample time to look for parking. Late arrivals are strictly not allowed after safety briefing has been conducted.
