Waverley Talks: Tracey Spicer in conversation with Wendy Harmer - The Good...
Thu. 18 May 2017, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm AEST
Join us at the Pavilion Theatre for an engaging evening of discussion and laughs as media iconoclast Tracey Spicer discusses her book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare with humourist Wendy Harmer.
Together they will explore just how a ‘bogan’ from the Brisbane backwaters navigated the ‘cruel and shallow money trench’ of television, to become one of Australia’s most leading women in media, with an illustrious career spanning multiple platforms. They will strip back the covers on Tracey’s experience of three decades in the industry, the structural barriers facing women in the workplace and answer the question what happens when a good girl goes bad?
Tracey Spicer is a journalist, national television anchor, columnist and the co-founder and national convenor of Women in Media.
Wendy Harmer is an Australian author, playwright and dramatist, radio show host, comedian and television personality.
