Waverley Library Dads Read 2015 Program Launch
Date and time
Description
After a successful trial run last year, Waverley Library is very excited to launch our full Dads Read program and be the first library to bring it to New South Wales.
Join us for a fun morning full of stories, songs, music and movement. There will be free face painting and morning tea to share and a chance to meet our wonderful Waverley Library Dad's Read Ambassadors, Reading Legends Anthony Minichiello and Bondi Lifeguard Anthony Harries Carroll.
Dads, granddads, uncles, big brothers and mates are especially encouraged to attend.
(Mums, grandmothers, aunts, big sisters welcome too.)
The Dads Read free, fun continues every 3rd Saturday of the month at 10am. Click here to book into our regular sessions.
Dads Read is an early literary inititive which recognises that fathers (and other male role models) reading to children strengthens literacy, models positive reading behaviour and builds children’s self-esteem around reading (especially for boys). Dads Read has been developed by the State Library of Queensland. For more information please head to www.dadsread.org.au
