Join artist Amanda Doctor in this fun and fast moving workshop full of tips on how to get the best out of painting with the beautiful medium of watercolour, concentrating on the idea of the sketch. Learn a range of techniques such as wet-in-wet and dry washes, how to manage bleeds and blends, how to mix colour, organising a simple palette and how to maintain the clear transparent colour that is unique to the watercolour medium.

You will then spend time practicing your skills by sketching the stunning views and vistas seen from the Library, or items found from the Library's garden. This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced artists wanting to develop their techniques. Materials will be supplied.
