Event description

Description

Join us to celebrate World Wetlands Day with a 2 hour workshop on Macroinvertebrate Photography with Alison Pouliot.

This event is for existing Waterwatch monitors who have an interest in macroinvertebrates. Alison Pouliot is a freshwater ecologist and environmental photographer who has been documenting Victoria's waterways for three decades. Her workshops are highly engaging, informative and a good opportunity for hands-on learning.

Participants are advised the following:

- Workshop with Alison 10am-12pm, lunch from 12pm.

- Lunch will be catered for. Please advise any dietary requirements upon booking ticket. BYO drink bottle.

- Please note that the course will be mostly theoretical, but please bring your camera if you would like to have a go at photographing macroinvertebrates at the end of the workshop.

- The workshop will be held at the visitors centre. If you would like to practice your skills in the park afterward, please wear appropriate clothing (long pants and boots advised due to snakes).

Please note, if it is a day of Total Fire Ban and/or Code Red, the Visitors Centre will be closed and the event will be moved to an alternative location. All volunteers will be contacted the day prior to the event.
