In this class, we will paint a simple poppy watercolour using lots of easy techniques. I will guide you step by step. The focus is to enjoy the process, relax, and enjoy discovering what watercolours can and can’t do. You will be surprised with what you create, and this includes those of you that think there isn’t an artist within. (Don’t worry, I’ll be happy to introduce you to them!)

The two main design options are the blue abstract poppy (in the above collage) or a more realistic rendition (see below).

You can bring your own supplies ( $45) or they can be supplied by me ($55).

Supplies needed:

• watercolour paper, 300 gsm or better, A4 or A3
• your favourite watercolour colours
• Large brushes, pencil, gum eraser, palette
• optional: blow dryer, low tack tape, permanent white (gouache), easel or MDF board

This workshop requires a minimum of 6 people to run. Ticket sales end one week prior to the event. If this class needs to be canceled, all tickets can be used for any future workshop or class.
