Water smart gardening in summer
Event Information
About this Event
Water is critical to a thriving garden but as our climate becomes hotter and drier, gardeners will need to be even more mindful about how it is used. In this online session, you’ll learn the ins and outs of using water wisely in the garden with Richard Rowe from Sustainable Gardening Australia. Learn how to design a water smart garden, which species to plant and where and about the crucial role of mulch. Plus learn how irrigation, rainwater tanks and grey water systems will help you to save water and keep your garden happy.
Please note that this is an event for Melbourne gardeners only. As gardening is very context specific, we won’t be able to take questions relating to other areas. If you live outside Melbourne, please contact your council to find out what free sustainable gardening events are available locally.
This My Smart Garden event is organised by the City of Stonnington.
